Typical Medicare Supplement Health Questions

 
  Once your Medigap Open Enrollment period ends, you can still change Medigap plans any time you want to, but you will have to answer some qualfying Health Questions. Below is a sample of typical Health Questions. Remember, if you answer Yes to any of these questions, there are still many options available to you in which you can significantly reduce your Medical Expenses. Simply contact us at your convenience and we'll be happy to go over all of your options.  
     
 
  1. Are you bedridden or confined ot a wheelchair?
  2. Are you currently hospitalized or confined to a nursing facility; or have you been hospitalized two or more times within the last year?
  3. Within the past two years, have you been advised to have kidney dialysis?
  4. Within the past two years have you had heart disease, coronary or carotid artery disease, heart rhythm disorders, a heart attack, congestive heart failure, stroke, Transient Ischemic Attack (TIA), heart valve surgery or peripheral vascular disease?
  5. Within the past two years, have you had or been treaded for internal cancer, leukemia or malignant melanoma, Hodgkin's Disease, disabling arthritis, degenerative desk disease, cirrhosis of the liver, or alcohol or drug abuse?
  6. Wighin the past two years, have you been advised to have surgery for cataracts, joint replacement, a heart condition or other surgery but not had such surgery?
  7. Within the past ten years, have you been treated for or been told by your physician you have Parkinsson's disease, osteoporosis with fractures, Paget's disease of the bone, spinal stenosis, Alzheimer's disease, Organic Brain Syndrome, senile dementia or other senility disorders, emplysema, chronic bronchitis, Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (COPD), other chronic lung disease, Myasthenia Gravis, Lupus, Multiple or Amyotrphic Lateral Sclerosis, paralyysis; Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrom (AIDS) or AIDS Related Complex (ARC)?
  8. Have you had or been told by your physician you needed an organ transplant or amputation due to a disease?
  9. Have you been advised by a physician to have medical tests, treatment or therapy that has not been performed?
  10. Are you an insulin dependent diabetic?
 
     
 

If you can answer NO to all of the questions above, then there is a very good chance that you can get any Medicare Supplement you want. If you answered YES to any of the questions above, there is still a very good chance that you can get approved for a Medicare Supplement plan from a number of top rated companies and cut your premiums significantly.

Every Medigap company's health questions are a little bit different. For example some companies will not accept you if you are taking insulin for diabetes. Others don't have that restriction.
