Southern Senior Care is a family-owned, independent insurance brokerage in Lawrenceville, Georgia. We help people across Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina choose Medicare coverage, and we stay with them year after year.
Our story
Three generations of helping people with insurance.

It starts with Tom
Mandy's father, Tom Malone, begins helping seniors with their insurance and retirement planning. He spends the next four decades doing it.

Mandy joins the business
Mandy starts her insurance career, working alongside her father and learning the business one client at a time.
- 2007
Southern Senior Care is founded
Doug founds Southern Senior Care to focus on Medicare and the coverage people need after 65.
- Today
Still family, still independent
Doug and Mandy run Southern Senior Care together, helping clients in Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina. Many of our clients have been with us for decades, and many came to us because a friend sent them.

Insurance companies pay us a commission when you enroll. Your premium is the same whether you buy through us or directly from the company, so our advice and service are free to you.

Mandy Benson
Co-owner · In the insurance industry since 1987
Mandy runs Southern Senior Care day to day and has helped seniors with Medicare and supplemental coverage for more than 35 years.
Doug Benson
Co-owner · Founded Southern Senior Care in 2007
Doug specializes in Medicare Supplements, Medicare Advantage and Part D prescription plans, and researches plan and rate changes every year.
Licensed and certified
Licensed in Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina.
Southern Senior Care holds a Georgia agency insurance license, and our agents are licensed for health and life insurance in Georgia, Alabama and South Carolina. Each year we complete Medicare certification and training with the insurance companies we represent.
